The Barn Collective

No special theme today - just more barns in our area - there seems to be an unending supply of them, no matter where we go on our rides.

And another view of one of my favorites - in front of the Sisters - during the summer the snow almost completely melts on the Sisters now.  When we first moved here the snow lasted all summer, but not anymore.

Seriously, lovely JoAnn, how many barns are there over there. I am amazed at the number and the gorgeousness of each one. They are all so different. Driving through your little corner of the world certainly brings beautiful surprises.

...JoAnn, I'm glad to hear that you have an unending supply of barn, the same is true here! Of all of them I'm drawn to the last barn. Thanks for sharing this week, please stop back again.

I love the variety of barns and all those open spaces surrounding them. My poor garden is feeling very compact in comparison.

Hello, you do seem to find a lot of barns in your area, They are all beautiful, I especially love the barn with the view of the mountains. Happy Sunday, enjoy your day and new week!

The one in the fourth photo is great, as well as the last shot! We get a lot of melt on our Sisters as well during the summer. The first freeze here two weeks ago gave them a fresh coat of white, though.

Great barn collection. There is something about abandoned barns that draw me in ... why are they abandoned.

You do have an endless supply of them - or you go for long drives!

I love those big barns. So much could be done inside. And have you noticed how farmlands often have the very best views? The barn in your fifth shot looks as if it might even be used for a residence now. The landscaping seems close in, surrounding it and giving it privacy.

The fourth one from the bottom (with the wings on each side) is kind of the shape of the one my husband and our son-in-law built together on their place. We still have some stuff stored in it, but I'm trying to clear it out for them. We live (here in Oregon) near the Three Sisters Mountains -- must be a different set of Sisters -- didn't realize you had them in Washington as well.
